At imagi, we believe that by making coding more accessible and increasing representation in the tech industry, we can empower the next generation to shape the future with technology and ensure that no one is left behind. Our coding education tools - from the imagiCharm to the imagi Edu platform - are designed to close the gender gap in tech, especially among girls and non-binary kids.
Our team anchors our work to 5 core values: Mission Obsession, Bravery, Creativity, Inclusion, and Quality. Inclusion, in particular, is an area of growth that we hope to pay increased attention to. Whether through making our tools more accessible for imagi coders with learning differences or ensuring every member of our team feels heard and comfortable voicing their opinions, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is a cornerstone of our work at imagi 🌈
To reinforce imagi’s long-term strategic commitment to DEI, we have created a policy to outline our DEI policies, best practices, and actionable steps/toolkits across different pockets of engagement, recruitment, and overall accessibility.
We acknowledge that this policy is the first iteration of many to come (and that we might not get everything right on our first try!), so we hope to approach this process with continuous improvement and feedback as we take our first steps in fostering an even more diverse and inclusive culture at imagi and our wider community.
